Travelling from within the UK

No visas or travel documents required — just arrive looking your best!

Expect mild and pleasant weather with long daylight hours, moderate rainfall, and temperatures around 59°F – 63°F (15°C – 17°C). We recommend keeping a light layer or shawl handy, especially in the evenings.

  • Our ceremony and reception will both take place on the grounds of Carlowrie Castle, so no additional travel is needed during the event.
  • The venue team will be happy to assist with arranging taxis when you are ready to depart.
  • For arrival and departure, we recommend using a taxi or ride-share service, with Uber widely available in Scotland.
  • If you plan to rent a vehicle, please note that parking is limited but available on the southwest side of the castle.

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate the guests who are formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, their name will appear with yours when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

We kindly encourage guests to wear formals, Scottish attire, or Assamese attire. (Please, no jeans.)

  • Guests may begin arriving at 1:30 PM.
  • The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00 PM.
  • Please arrive no later than 1:50 PM, as late arrivals may unfortunately miss the ceremony.

We love your little ones! Children are welcome, we simply ask that you help them remain calm and be respectful during the ceremony.

The ceremony will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Cocktail hour and the reception will take place indoors.
Guests are welcome to explore the grounds — lawn games and a bonfire will be available later in the evening.

We are having an unplugged ceremony. Please refrain from using phones or cameras during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present. We’ve hired professional photographers who will capture every moment, and we promise to share the images as soon as we receive them. After the ceremony, you’re welcome to take as many photos and videos as you’d like!

Yes! A full bar will be available inside the castle, in the second room on the right. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be served.

Due to venue policy and licensing regulations, guests may not bring their own alcoholic beverages. All drinks will be provided through our bartending service.

Please kindly RSVP by March 1, 2026.
